Amazing Spider-Man (1977)

Conan (1985)

Green Lantern: The first GL issue I pulled off the rack back in the day. I would stay with this title up through Millennium and I certainly stayed with the character on and off throughout the years. Usually whenever there are events such as the Trinity crossover with LEGION and Darkstars, Emerald Twilight, most of the Kyle Rayner run, Rebirth thru to the new 52. I like the character (Hal Jordan), I like the concept and I certainly dug everything that Geoff Johns has done with the entire franchise for the past eight years. There are still some issues to spotlight in upcoming posts, but those were purchased as back issues. Someday I may go back and try to read the entire Hal Jordan-era either in the Showcase or Chronicles format or trying to get the actual issues as far back as I can - especially for the various back up tales, letter columns, ads, etc. It’s a part of the DCU publishing history that I’m willing to spend money on in back issues. (1983)

Marvel Tales: The final MT issue I purchased off the rack. It was fun reading these Amazing Spider-Man reprints but obviously not enough to stay with it for a long time. Obviously once trades hit a publisher’s mind-set, especially something like an Essential, reprints like these were replaced. Interesting to note that this series ran for almost 300 issues and wrapped up in 1984. (1984)

Robin: Welcome Robin to this series of post! We’ll be seeing this character on and off for awhile. (2008)

Superman (2001)

Wonder Woman (2001)
